Here is what you need to know about booking your next trophy whitetail hunt at Whitetail Country.
Hunting season: September 1 to January 31
Licenses: West Virginia hunting licenses required. All out-of-state hunter license fees cost $113.00
Length of hunt: All hunts are 3 days
Weapons: You can hunt with rifle, shotgun, handgun, muzzleloader or bow. Bring your favorite weapon or we can supply firearms if needed.
Reservations: A $1,000 deposit is required on all hunts. Deposit payment can be made by check.
Cancellations: You must call and/or write 30 days prior to your hunt in order to get a 50% refund of your deposit. You may rebook for a later date at no additional charge.
Payment: Final payment must be a cashier’s check, cash or a money order.
Accommodations and meals: Lodging is provided at the local McCoys Best Western, located 7 miles from the preserve. Meals are provided locally at restaurants of your choice.
Travel: The hunting preserve is conveniently located near Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV. Airport pickup can be arranged.
Meat processing: Our facility has walk-in coolers and freezers with venison processing available for $45 fee that includes packaging and wrapping of deboned venison. 
What you get: All hunts include the following:
- trophy whitetail
- experienced guide
- meals and motel
- skinning and caping onsite
- transportation from and to Yeager Airport
- meat processing onsite (extra for $45)
- delivery of trophy to local taxidermist if desired
- firearms available if need.
Extras: Doe hunts are available for $350. Meals and lodging available for an extra fee. Non-hunters can tag along for $100 per day.
Fees: Our prices are based on the antler size of your whitetail trophy:
- $2000 --- up to 140 inches
- $3,700 -- 140 to 155
- $5,900 -- 156 to 169
- $8,900 -- 170 to 179
- $10,900 - 180 to 189
- $14,000 - 191 to 199
- $16,500 + 200 and up
Attention: A draw blood policy is in effect. Fee are due for wounded animals.
